Posti is a JavaScript-based post-it note app that started as a side project, and evolved into a workflow tool. My goal was to create a simple, skeuomorphic sticky note app that could be accessible to non-technical users while still providing ample functionality for real-life project management.
Posti helps during the UX/Software design process for:
- -Taking notes
- -Organizing Ideas
- -UX design
- -UX Research (such as Card sorting)
Card Sorting
One of the main features is to easily allow users to perform digital card-sorting exercises without requiring full access to the software. My solution to this problem was to save templates in a "locked" mode that disabled editing, along with providing a stripped-down version of the app that only allows sorting and saving. This lets users create post-its and categories for sorting while removing all unnecessary interactivity that could get in the way of the exercise.While Posti may not be the most feature-rich post-it style app, it makes up for this by being extremely user friendly and accessible for non-technical users with its sleek, streamlined user experience design.
